Choosing only 10 top makeup products was so much more difficult than I thought it would be! I narrowed it down by the products I use most often, and the ones I definitely cannot live without. Don't worry...all the products listed below ARE available for purchase within South Africa, and are either local brands or locally available. Who has time to wait weeks for an order, and then pay huge amounts on customs? #supportlocal am I right?
OKAY! Let's jump straight in! These items are not in any order at all, these are simply just my general top 10 (don't ask me to pick an ultimate winner, we'll be here for ages).
The first favourite has to be a foundation! I feel like us women spend half our lives trying to find the perfect foundation for our skin types - it's a constant battle, until you find...THE ONE!
This Maybelline Super Stay foundation is that holy grail! The coverage is amazing, the shade matches me perfectly (remember to test colours on your chest), and it's super long-lasting, without being oily, or too matte! (remember to set with powder)

Next up we've got local brand Essence Lash Princess mascara. I mean, anyone who has used this mascara knows just how good it is!
It's super black, doesn't clump or give you spider lashes, and adds so much volume to your lashes. You can get it for only R88.00 on Superbalist ... are you joking! ONLY R88.00 for the best mascara i've ever used!

The next fave is the Yardley Absolute Translucent setting powder. I have been using this for years and at this stage, don't think i'll ever use anything else.
It has no flash-back so you won't get that ghostly white look in photos, it is extremely fine & goes on the skin like a soft veil, and beautifully sets the makeup with a light sheen.
Its only R169.00 on Takealot and also available at Clicks & Dis-Chem. It's just magical, okay. Just take my word for it.
Next in line is a bit of a splurge, I won't lie. But it is so WORTH IT! My boyfriend bought this for me about 2 years ago and I still have about half left, and I use it EVERY time I do mine or someone else's makeup.
It has a combination of bronze, gold and rose gold highlighters that you mix together & apply on the face. It creates the most beautiful angelic glow, unlike any other highlighter i've used. Get it for R714.00 on Superbalist.

I'm sure some of you are thinking "of course her own products are going to be included in the top 10" ..and you're damn right they are!
